Pioneering folk musicians David Wax and Suz Slezak are the plucky husband-wife duo behind the eclectic, exuberant “Mexo-Americana” band David Wax Museum. In addition to their national TV debut in 2019 on CBS This Morning: Saturday, the band has been featured in The New York Times, Rolling Stone, TIME Magazine and The New Yorker. They built bridges performing at the wedding of Democratic presidential hopeful (now Transportation Secretary) Pete Buttigieg and his husband Chasten--and in 2021 their plaintive ballad “Big Sur” debuted during the marriage scene on Netflix #1 show, Firefly Lane.
In early 2022, David and Suz return to the road, bursting with songs from two new albums (Remember My Future and Euphoric Ouroboric), as well as Suz's debut solo album, Our Wings May Be Featherless (releasing March 4, 2022 on Nine Mile Records). They are joined by indominable multi-instrumentalist Alec Spiegelman, whose extraordinary talent is showcased on both new band albums, which he produced at his Brooklyn studio. The combined musicianship of these three artists, who have been performing and recording together for nearly 15 years, is absolutely electric on stage. Prepare yourself for an unforgettable evening.
The Show Will Go On...Eventually
Update: November 19, 2021
We have switched to our new ticketing platform, Ticketleap! If you previously purchased tickets for this show through Brown Paper Tickets, they will be honored.
Update: February 23, 2021
Here we go again. This show will not take place on April 14. Hard to believe that multiple reschedules landing us on a date more than a year after the original one still wasn’t far enough out for touring to have resumed.
The entire tour has been rerouted again and the new date for our show is March 9, 2022. The new date is nearly two years after the original date, but we hope that this will find us all safe and ready to cram together in close proximity with one another to sing and laugh and - dare we say it? - HUG if we feel like it.
If you’ve already purchased tickets at some point on this wild ride, we’ve sent you an email through our ticketing platform, Brown Paper Tickets, with more information. We appreciate your patience and man, we wish we had a fast forward button. We’re saving up a whole lot of big hugs for each of you.
Update: August 10, 2020
As we're sure you have already guessed, it is not possible for us to host this show on the rescheduled date of August 19.
We have worked with DWM's booking agent and the venue to secure a new date for the spring - Wednesday, April 14, 2021 - in the hopes that it will be safe to gather together by then.
If you already purchased tickets, we've sent you an email (via our ticketing platform, Brown Paper Tickets) with more information. We appreciate your patience as we continue through this bizarre time.
Update: March 16, 2020
